Our Teaching Staff
A PGA of America member since 1989, John is an accomplished teacher and player. He played college golf at Purdue University and is an active participant in the Illinois section tournaments.
His 20 years of teaching experience give John the ability to recognize minor swing flaws and help players overcome them. As a result, he’s proficient at assisting players of all handicap levels fine-tune their golf swings.
A graduate of the University of Arizona and the PGA Golf Professional Training Program, Jay takes pride in helping Junior players and new golfers develop fundamentally sound golf swings. He knows how important it is to get beginners off on the right foot. That way they will be in a better position to enjoy the game of golf when they step onto the course.
A 1976 Graduate from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. J. was elected into membership of the PGA of America in 1979. In 1990, J. won an Illinois PGA stroke play event and in 1991 was a member of the Radix Cup Team. J. is a Titleist Performance Institute Level 2 Certified Junior Golf Coach and a US Kids certified top 50 Honorable Mention. J. is dedicated to helping grow the game by offering clinics and various junior camps.

John has been a PGA Head Professional in Illinois for 14 years. John was the Titleist Scholarship winner as the highest finisher of his graduating class at the PGA GPTP in 2001. John is also a TPI Level 1 certified instructor with many years of experience teaching all levels of golfers – gentlemen, ladies and juniors.
